EIA Diesel prices were down $0.083 (-2.3%) over the past week to $4.539. $0.588 above the year ago price, but down $1.271 (-21.9%) from the all-time weekly high of $5.810 in June of last year.
Loads originating from VA_Winchester, OH_Toledo, NE_N_Platte, OR_Medford, TX_San_Antonio, and NY_Rochester markets had the largest percentage increase in rates.
Loads delivering to MN_Duluth, OK_Tulsa, IN_S_Bend, MI_Grand_Rapids, TN_Knoxville, and AR_Little_Rock markets had the largest percentage increase in rates.
The 6 highest long haul rates were out of MO_Cape_Girardeau, ND_Bismarck, MO_St_Louis, IL_Taylorville, KS_Hutchinson, and IA_Cedar_Rapids markets with an average rate of $2.28, up 1 cent from last week.
The 6 highest long haul lanes were into MT_Missoula, MT_Billings, CO_Denver, NH_Bristol, ID_Twin_Falls, and WY_Green_River markets with an average rate of $2.24, up 4 cents from last week.
The 6 lowest long haul rates were out of FL_Miami, FL_Lakeland, OR_Portland, WA_Seattle, WA_Spokane, and OR_Pendleton markets with an average rate of $1.27, down 6 cents from last week.
The 6 lowest long haul rates were into KY_Lexington, KY_Louisville, IN_Ft_Wayne, TX_McAllen, TX_Laredo, and IN_S_Bend markets at an average of $1.44, up 2 cents from last week.
